Girls & the notebook…
What is it about chicks and this movie?
After dinner with a few friends in good old Thai rice on Portabello the subject of movies came up and eventually the girls at the table had their moment of connection with the film The Notebook. Why do all girls love this film? I saw it for the first time tonight and had a few hours worth of conversation about it afterwards! Is it the ducks? Is it the canvas by the window? Is this a pile of slush or a classic.

New video from The Killlers. As mentioned many times on this blog, I think Brandon Flowers is the man, Swagger on a hundred, thousand…trillion. ‘Spaceman’ is taken from their 3rd proper studio album(not including Sawdust), and it is one of my favourites on the album, kind of an obvious choice for the second single.

It was a Sunday afternoon, what better way to spend it then to make burgers? Making beef burger treats is quite theraputic actually, the feeling of meat between your fingers is comforting… Yeah. So buy some mince meat, an onion, 1 jalepeno pepper, an egg to bind it togehter, breadcrumbs and lightly season, mix and shape, then cook to perfection. I tried the following method, here are the results.
Obviously didn’t make the chips from scratch, that would be stupid wasteman tactics, McCains do a lovely job, why tread on their toes?

Twittering Hell
I signed up to Twitter in June last year and never really got into it. It just seemed like a crappy Facebook status application and another thing to spend my life trying to update and forget about. I’d kinda forgotten about but then it seems to keep cropping up. Ginger Kid mentioned his the other day, Obama used it heavily during the election campaign (that maybe the only time those two individuals appear in one sentence!!), Phillip Schofield mentioned it on This Morning and then there was the drama that unfolded between Wale & Semtex which ended up in what can only be described as a Twitter War
So my question to Tribers,
Who is on this thing?
Is it worth the grind?
Or is it another flash in the pan (big up Hi5, Linkedin, Friendster etc etc)

So it’s 2009, and with a new year comes well…newness innit! New outlook on life, new promises to self to do better…and…erm…new albums from OLD artists…or not necessarily OLD, but artists who you thought had got a new job in a bank or…who agreed with the rest of us and gave up the day job…BUT nope…

Joe Budden will be releasing ‘Padded Rooms’ in Feb
…the lady who used to kill a track in a good way, has recently just been killing it…dead!!…
so hopefully Missy’s back on her A-game with new album ‘Block Party’ also out in February.
Scheduled for later in the year…Michael Jackson’s STILL releasing his yet untitled album, Ace & Vis are worried!
Nineties hip hop group Naughty by Nature are dropping,
‘Anthem Inc’…from hip hop to porn then back to hip hop…hmmm
Erm...The Fugees...the world’s been waiting for this album, and as last years comeback didn’t quite hit the spot… The Fugees( are scheduled to release as yet untitled new album this year… Ace & Vis special message…Lauryn we miss you…but we’re also a bit scared…please don’t come back unless you’re really really REALLY READY!)
and our Auntie Whitney, clean, fresh and Brown free will drop her yet untitled album later this year.
