EXPENSIVE POO

May 31, 2009 by Dels

introducing

Out of all of the things to experience at outdoor festivals, taking at dump in a public portaloo is right at the top of my hate list. At Glastonbury last year I remember seeing a group of boys push a portaloo over with their friend still in it. The aftermath – a drunk boy  rolling out of a horizontal portaloo with poo on his hair and back (whilst still clutching an empty beer glass). Yikes.

One alternative to public-portaloo-drama is buying a Shit Box. For £15.67, you get a lightweight portable toilet with tissues,  10 bio-degradable poo bags and a duffle bag to carry it all in. Founder of the Brown Corporation Richard Wharton aka “The Big Shit”, says that the concept derived from him “thinking about the possibility of pooing in a Kleenex tissue box at Glastonbury”. Woah, what’s worse… pooing in a public portaloo or a Shit Box? Isn’t £15 a bit expensive for a cardboard box? Errrmmm… :/

WHAT WORKS ON PHOTOBUCKET ?

I am a little confused about what is allowed & what is not on Photobucket.

They delete some pictures & then they do not. I have a few galleries on Photobucket, each for different blogs etc & I am finding that they will delete some pictures on one blog gallery but the same picture in another blog gallery stays.

If the deleting was consistent, then I guess I would not have a problem. But when they randomly delete from different galleries it annoys the hell out of me.

Yes you can always upload directly & perhaps note to self for vertain risque images that should be the mode, but damn Photobucket can be annoying.

Rant over.

Be Well.

We all know about that infamous phrase used by Eddie Murphy in Boomerang, when he realised that Lela Rochon’s feet were jacked up. Classic. The sun is well and truly out (well for now) and it’s only right that you get your tootsy game correct. Like our very own Mr W, who posted a picture of her feet on Twitter and I must say she had all the reason too. You either love it or hate it. And like Mr W I love my feet too. There are some of us that take care but some of us need a little nudge in the right direction.

The DO’s and DON T’s :

Don’t leave your house with chipped nail varnish. Please don’t also try to cover it up. We’ve all tried to do a quick once over. I’ve learn’t, this does not work. You will be left with a mountain clump of nail varnish.

Don’t leave your house unless you’ve checked the sole. Yup, many a time I’ve seen women with their feet all in tact and a cracked hard sole. Ya gotta get the scrapper out and put some work in.

Don’t have a million plasters on your feet. If your feet have had a bit of a party, put clear plasters on. Or put them away.

Don’t leave your nail varnish on for too long your natural nail colour will be sporting a gangrene yellow

Dry toes. No excuse.

GheToes. Don’t get acrylic on your toes, no matter how nice you think it looks. Plus if you stub your toe we are talking some serious pain levels which will not be worth the £30 (look this model has a double whammy. Dry toes and acrylic)

If you have corns/bunions, well I’m sorry. I truly am. I have no idea other than to get them removed or as one girl said she just ‘put make up on them.’ Wow. Hard times.

Pedicure’s are obviously the easiest solution. In America they started using a technique called fish pedicure. Well not quite a technique just literally hundreds of little flesh eating fish nibbling away at your dead skin. Nice. Apparently it’s a hit in the states. Well it beats being attacked with a scraper for $7 in Brooklyn.

Pedicure’s nowadays are blatantly expensive. DIY I say. Invest in a foot mask. Put The Wire dvd on and put in some work.

How many guys did this after they saw this? Classic Eddie

Brilliant band, brilliant new video for ‘The Reeling’, the second single off of their album. Combining colourful electro indie pop, mixed with glitchy breakbeats and warped samples. If you don’t know already, you know now. They are next.
