FATSARAZZI @ FL

May 26, 2009 by Fats

A little self promotion can go a long way…well the T-shirt line that I did with Futura Laboratories / Dice&Dice is getting a little shine across the web. So I thought give it a little shine here.

Based on a series of personal pictures that we worked on, involving Futura Pictures & some from my Personal life etc…all from the Archive. Each T-shirt has the picture on the front & a little bio of the shot on the reverse.

This is collection 1 & I am working on collection 2. All are available from the FL on line store & in stores in Japan for now…soon to hit the world at some point…hey let’s not get delusions of grandure just yet…

Be Well.

Not much more to say about this. Other than what Coco Chanel said :

“Immitation is the highest form of flattery”

Bottle Beach

No big trek here or major sightseeing, but after 48 hours of no shut eye and with the sun in for a bit, it was time to chill the fuck out. Bottle Beach, though on the same island as Koh Phangan (party central) is north of the island in a quaint secluded area one can only reach via a jungle trek or a boat. I don’t know if a hangover and a boat was a good idea, however the view was close to some kind of beautiful, to distract you from regurgitating last nights meal. Deep teal sea, the cutest little huts placed modestly within high plam trees, white beaches, colourful boats and shiny white jumping fish. It was amazingly peaceful. Smile Bungalow is where we stayed – calm, quiet and tranquil. Daily events consisted along the lines of lazing in the sun, doing laps across the shore, eating fresh seafood by the ton, drinking fresh squeezed juice by the gallon and sleeping for a few hours until it was time to eat and drink again. The locals were genuinely friendly, and the employees of the bungalows became friends. Best bits would be the cutest chubby Thai guy with the longest dreads singing Bob Marley songs in a Thai accent with a constant smile whilst you ate your meal, the glory hunter locals (all Man U or Chelsea fans) bashing the tourists at football and the hotel employees playing while they worked – drinking and smoking whilst playing black jack and jenga to the sun rise.

CONTRACEPTION … DISCUSS

MOST UNDER-RATED MCS

May 23, 2009 by Luke Monaghan

This conversation does often come up, as all music fans will have a band/artist that they think are amazing, but the populous simply doesn’t catch onto them, for whatever reason. I have decided to go for hip-hops most under rated, I have chosen 3, you can choose more. But I just think on there day, these MC’s are almost unplayable.

Juelz Santana

[ Dip-Set in general are a slept on Hip-Hop group, I think they are by far the best collective since the Wu, and have actually made more anthems than Wu-Tang. But they never had a great complete album, and they did fall off quite badly. But when Juelz comes hard (pause) on a track he is a beast, he has all the potential to take over hip-hop in the next 10 years, I can see him lurking out the the shadow like Lil Wayne has done and completely doing some amazing stuff, he is that guy, just go uptown to Harlem and tell them that he sent ya'. AIIIIGHT. ]

Talib Kweli

[You don't need me to tell you why Talib is under rated, he just is! And we all feel guilty about it! An MC with so much lyrical talent and such great storytelling ability is chronically slept on and consistentally has poor record sales, I feel bad just typing this. When I first saw Talib live, it was brilliant, just an amazing artist and has always lived under the shadow of Mos Def and also a bit under Common. But in reality, he is a better MC than Mos. Probably not quite as good as Common though. Not going to go too far, even so extremely slept on. One of the greats.]

Ludacris

[At the start of the post I said about when an MC is on their day, and turns it on, they are unplayable...I said that purely for this man. Luda with his best 16/32 bars, combined with his big singles is up their with the best of them. He is a beast! And let me add 83% of the time Ludacris is BETTER than 'the greatest rapper alive' Lil Wayne.]

thoughts?

thanks.
