SEXY PEOPLE
(Pause)
For some reason, Family portaits/Class photo shoots always came around at the wrong time for me. I don’t think I have one Family Portrait where my hair/clothes looks good. I remember having ruler-sharp-flat-top fades on a regular as young boy but I have no photographic evidence of having one?! What I do have are photos of me with overgrown Afro’s that make me look like Toad from the Mario Bros. A few family portraits that readers have sent into cult blog Sexy People have made me feel slightly better about my Mother’s documentation of my past. Seriously, some of the photos you are about to see after the jump are pretty… erm… well… amazing.
Irene Agbontaen

My girl Irene is somewhat of a stylist extraordinaire. Having cut her sartorial teeth at Complex Magazine in New York, she now works full time at ASOS.Com, which any woman will tell you is the online shopping equivalent of having a serious crack habit- dangerous for your (financial) health, but you still want it so bad it makes you itch.
When she’s not grindin’ at the day job, Irene can usually be found dressing a whole host of Grime boys in designer duds, and making sure the girls winding next to them in the videos look more classy, less brassy. (See: Exhibit A) She also drives faster than Lewis Hamilton and Migraine Skanks better than Gracious K himself, but that’s a whole other blog post.
Take a peek at some more of her rather excellent work after the jump, then check out her website over HERE.

Good morning from ATCN
Young Moolah, Baby!
After months of what can only be described as fannying about, Drake has finally signed with Lil’ Wayne’s Young Money record label. And despite the fact that the deal actually breaks down as a ‘joint venture between Young Money and Cash Money, with Universal Republic distributing’, the most-hyped rapper of the year has been quick to insist that he still sees himself as an independent artist. Hmm.
Indie or major, it’s fair to say that Hip Hop heads the world over will wait with baited breath for Drake’s first release on the label. The pressure to maintain the standards set by the ubiquitous ‘So Far Gone’ mixtape must be weighing heavily on Drizzy’s shoulders right about now. With the Internet abuzz with criticism for his lacklustre performance at last night’s BET Awards, let’s hope the Last Best Hope of Hip Hop can rise to the challenge.
