By removing the ‘unnecessary’ a painstakingly, beautiful, interpretation of the paths, nodes, boulevards, parks and streets that run through New York City is revealed. Each of the four 3′ x 4′ paper panels fit together like panes of window. Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens and the Bronx are all represented. When they are combined and placed against a colourful backdrop the city, of linear order, begins to take shape.

The craftsmanship, moreover, the patience needed to create such a piece sets a price tag of $550 a pop.
