The Faile Bast Fluxx Deluxx Arcade 2010.
Long standing collaborators Faile and Bast (both based in Brooklyn, NY) have come together to create an amazing installation at Lazarides, London. Ever since I discovered Faile and Bast’s work their separate distintive energetic styles have always inspired me. 80’s pop culture image references and objects combined with Faile and Bast’s unique experimental techniques create a truly great show. The basement hosts what looks like a faile-bast-neon-bomb exploded and the ground floor holds the best looking arcade I’ve ever seen (and trust me I’ve seen alot). All of the gallery’s walls and floors are covered with fresh wheat-pastes, it doesn’t get much better for me.
There is also a Faile retrospective ‘A decade of Faile’ at Lazarides Rathbone Place location.
