FOALS / ‘SPANISH SAHARA’ VIDEO

March 10, 2010 by Dels

“Now I see you lying there, like a Lylo losing air.”

“Spanish Sahara”, by 5-piece band Foals, is about one particular past experience of lead singer Yannis Philippakis – a childhood memory of stumbling upon a dead dog in a river. The jagged broken sheets of ice floating in the dark ocean captures the feeling of the song quite well.

You can hear snippets of their album by completing the puzzles (nice visual idea) on their website HERE.

What do you think of rapper Laws? Apparently he’s part of the Hip-Hop collective, Justice League (Little Brother, Buckshot, 9th Wonder, Joe Scudda & co). I’m not convinced. I think he sounds Lupe-ish BUT the beat by Dj Khalil KNOCKS HARD!
